Most MES systems focus on integration with an ERP system. Performix xMES™ is the only MES solution designed to integrate with a PLM, ERP, and EAM system at the same time. This feature allows our customers to do complete round trip engineering of their products through design, manufacturing planning, actual manufacturing and maintenance of their manufacturing infrastructure.

Further, Performix xMES™ is the only MES solution designed to integrate with a Process PLM System . Therefore, Performix xMES™ is an ideal choice for customers in the Process and Batch Manufacturing Industries who wish to increase their product innovation cycle times and or manage an outsourced manufacturing environment.

Most MES solutions require a significant plant implementation effort. This is primarily because other MES solution providers replicate a significant portion of SAP's functionality within their core platform, such as:

• Master Data (typically consisting of materials, resources, equipment, personnel, production models, and recipes)
• Personnel Information (typically consisting of operator roles, names, authorizations, etc.)

Performix xMES™ is designed to access Master Data and Personnel Information directly from the SAP system, in effect saving the effort of recreating this information within an MES.

Further, most MES solutions emphasize the visualization of the production process and have very high graphics content as a result. While this most certainly gives the system a very polished front end, it also increases the effort of deploying the system. Performix xMES™ has a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that is purely functional. Our GUI is generated automatically from the database, without the need to draw any diagrams and pictures. For SAP customers, Performix proposes that any high-end graphics and visualization requirement should be fulfilled by deploying the SAP xMII system within the plant floor.
