Houston, Texas – January 27, 2009 –Performix Inc., the provider of next generation manufacturing execution, recipe management, and batch solutions for the chemical, pharmaceutical and high-tech industries, today announced the appointment of 14-year SAP and SAIC veteran Fred Ungerer as Chief Operating Officer (COO). With more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and operations, Ungerer is tasked with driving operational strategy, structure and effectiveness across Performix’s global sales, marketing, operations and business development organizations.

Prior to joining Performix, Ungerer held prominent positions responsible for driving sales, marketing, solutions, consulting and operations teams. Most recently, as Global Vice President of Asset Management and Supply Chain for SAIC, Ungerer was responsible for growing the enterprise solutions consulting practice. Prior to SAIC, he served as Vice President of Process Industries Solutions for SAP America where he provided go-to-market leadership and assisted in growing software sales at double digit rates in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Mill Products, Life Sciences and Mining industries practices. Before SAP, Ungerer held positions in finance, engineering, supply and distribution, and business analysis at Mobil Chemical, now ExxonMobil Chemical.
